Destination Ibiza: Luxury, hippies & party culture

Mediterranean variety and authentic ease

Ibiza is far more than parties and nightlife. The island fascinates with its balance of white villages, lush nature, historic sites and turquoise-blue sea.

The contrasts are alive: rustic hippie culture, coastal paths scented with herbs, dreamy coves and at the same time an inspiring urban creative scene in the towns.

Ibiza has a rich cultural heritage. In the UNESCO-protected old town of Dalt Vila, massive fortress walls, narrow cobbled lanes and historic palaces tell of a moving past shaped by Phoenicians, Moors and seafaring nations.

White village churches in places such as Santa Gertrudis or Sant Carles shape the inland scenery, while legendary hippie markets such as Las Dalias or Punta Arabi keep the island's unmistakable boho charm alive with crafts, colourful fabrics and live music.

Destination Ibiza: Activities

Action, enjoyment & culture

Whether adventurous, indulgent or relaxed: Ibiza offers the right activity for every group.

On the water, catamaran and sailing trips lead to hidden coves and secluded beaches, while day trips to Formentera or Espalmador offer outstanding snorkelling in crystal-clear protected waters.

Those who prefer a calmer start can begin the day with stand-up paddling at sunrise. For more action, jet ski tours, speedboat rides along the coast or small excursions on emission-free electric jetboards bring momentum into the programme.

Away from the beaches, jeep safaris lead through the island's interior, past olive groves and along winding mountain roads to viewpoints with spectacular panoramas. Guided hikes to hidden pirate coves, cave tours or cultural detours into Dalt Vila combine activity, nature and history.

And in the evening, goosebump moments begin - whether at sunset at the legendary Cafe del Mar with live music or on a private sunset cruise overlooking the mystical rock of Es Vedra.

Destination Ibiza: Accommodation

Luxury villa or rural finca

Accommodation on Ibiza is just as varied as the island itself.

Along the coast, stylish beach hotels with floor-to-ceiling windows let guests see the glittering Mediterranean as soon as they wake up. Many offer elegant pool areas, rooftop bars for sunsets and restaurants where Mediterranean cuisine is served with a modern twist.

In the island's interior, lovingly restored fincas sit among olive groves and lavender fields - ideal for those who value calm and authenticity.

Guests looking for something special can stay in small boutique houses whose courtyards are overgrown with bougainvillea and whose rooms are designed in warm natural tones.

For guests who value privacy, villas with infinity pools, sun terraces and views of the sea or Ibiza's gentle hills are available.

Destination Ibiza: Best travel time & access

Optimal conditions

With around 300 sunny days per year, Ibiza has a mild Mediterranean climate.

In summer, temperatures usually range between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius, creating ideal conditions for water sports and beach time during the day.

Those who want to extend summer should come in spring or autumn. With temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius, many outdoor activities are still possible.

The Balearic island is easy to reach from the DACH region. In high season, numerous direct flights operate from cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Zurich and Vienna. Flight time is around 2 to 2.5 hours. The airport itself is only about 10 minutes from Ibiza Town, so the pleasant part of the trip begins shortly after landing.

Ibiza is ideal for groups looking for contrasts: calm and nightlife, nature and luxury, freedom and precise organisation.
