## Incentive Weekend in Mallorca: Off-Road Adventure and a Catamaran Sundowner

Three days of memorable experiences: for Dr. Klein Privatkunden AG, we organised an incentive weekend in Mallorca featuring a tapas tour through Palma, an action-packed buggy tour and an unforgettable sundowner on the Mediterranean. A sudden change of plan produced a very special surprise.

### Sundowner, off-road trails and the cathedral after dark

At the end of September, we welcomed Dr. Klein Privatkunden AG to [Mallorca](https://x-centives.com/en/destinations/mallorca/) for an [incentive](https://x-centives.com/en/incentives/) weekend. Places on this special trip had been raffled among selected employees from different company locations. The aim was to recognise outstanding performance while strengthening connections within the team.

Dr. Klein entrusted us with the complete package: hotel, [transfers](https://x-centives.com/en/product/transfer-mallorca/), [activities](https://x-centives.com/en/activities/), restaurants and personal on-site support. From the welcome at the airport on Friday to the journey back for their departure on Sunday, we looked after every detail. The plan combined a sociable tapas evening in [Palma](https://x-centives.com/en/activities/mallorca/palma/), an off-road buggy tour and a relaxed afternoon aboard a private catamaran. Then came the surprise that gave this [event](https://x-centives.com/en/event/) an unexpected turn.

### Arrival and the first evening in Palma

The guests arrived in Mallorca at different times on Friday. We welcomed them in small groups at the airport and coordinated their transfers to the Son Caliu Spa Oasis in Palmanova. The programme deliberately included time to settle in after check-in, allowing us to absorb any potential flight delays. Some guests went for a walk, others relaxed by the pool or headed straight to the sea.

That evening, we travelled together to Palma for a guided and authentically Spanish tapas tour. The first stop was Café Can Toni, one of our favourite local spots, followed by the tapas bar La Botana. Dessert, coffee and cocktails at the Nivia Born rooftop bar rounded off the evening, with the illuminated cathedral rising above Palma's rooftops. It was an atmospheric start and an ideal opportunity for the group to get to know one another.

### Saturday: buggy tour and a sudden change of plan

Saturday morning brought more action. The three-and-a-half-hour buggy tour around Llucmajor combined country roads and off-road tracks through Mallorca's rural interior. The scenery kept changing, and a short stop even left time for coffee before the group returned to base.

While the group was out on the buggies, we received news that the catamaran booked for the afternoon had suffered engine damage and could no longer sail. The cruise was an eagerly anticipated part of the weekend. Chris therefore spent around two hours working through our local network, secured an available alternative and reorganised the transfers before the group returned from the buggy tour.

### An afternoon on the Mediterranean

The unexpected replacement turned out to be an excellent discovery: a modern, fully electric catamaran that became the group's floating home for the next five hours. Electric underwater scooters and other water toys were ready on board. Soon after anchoring in one of southern Mallorca's most beautiful coves, much of the group was already in the water.

Meanwhile, lunch was prepared on board: freshly cooked vegetarian and chicken paella, accompanied by an open bar throughout the cruise. A small cocktail boat also pulled alongside the catamaran to mix fresh drinks for the guests.

The final part of the cruise became quieter. As the sun went down and the full moon later appeared above the water, we sailed back towards Palma. The city lights were already glowing, with the cathedral clearly visible from the sea. These final hours aboard stayed with many guests - a rewarding outcome for a programme element that had been completely reorganised only hours earlier.

### Sunday: a little more Mallorca

After breakfast on Sunday, there was still time for a final walk, a visit to the pool or a few more moments by the sea. The group then travelled to the airport for the return journey to Germany.

### What we took away from the weekend

With a smaller group, the importance of balancing shared activities with enough space for personal conversations quickly becomes clear. The individual experiences mattered, but so did the evenings together, spontaneous conversations and smaller moments in between.

Saturday's last-minute change also showed that even the most carefully prepared corporate trip will not always follow the original plan. What matters is finding the right solution quickly, shielding the guests from unnecessary disruption and ensuring the experience still works - or, as in this case, becomes an unexpected upgrade.

This was the first trip whose complete organisation Dr. Klein had placed in the hands of an external partner. We were therefore especially pleased with the very positive feedback and the prospect of welcoming the team back to Mallorca.

Thank you to Dr. Klein Privatkunden AG for the trust placed in us. It was a pleasure to accompany your team during this Mallorca weekend.

> Thank you so much for the wonderful trip - everyone was truly very happy.
